(1) The work, duties and powers of the investigating officer shall be as follows:- (a) To immediately arrest the offender and take necessary action,
(b) To search or cause to be searched any office, house, building, warehouse, vehicle or any other place while investigating and investigating the offense under this Act or collecting evidence. (c) To exercise other powers vested in the investigating officer.
(2) When an investigation officer investigates and investigates an offense under this Act, the investigation officer shall have the same rights, duties, facilities and responsibilities as the police in accordance with the prevailing laws, including obtaining a statement from the accused and preparing a land bond.
(3) In doing the work according to sub-section (2), the investigation officer may use the same powers as the court to keep the accused in custody, to release him on bail or bail, to keep him in custody if he cannot provide bail or bail.
